It’s time to get real about Fall skincare routines. For a lot of us, the temperatures start to drop which can cause the skin to lose moisture and become dry. When you start to crank the heat up and mix it with blustery temps, your skin can become patchy, and extremely irritated.
I tend to do a complete overhaul on products each season except for my main products I use daily. I recently started using the Clarisonic again to prep for my Fall skincare routine.
Why The Clarisonic Mia? It is so soft on the skin that I can use my Mia twice a day! The occulting brush head is so gentle on the skin that provides a deep cleanse without any irritation. The Clarisonic is such a great way to prep your skin to avoid any dry, patchy, irritated skin. The Mia is perfect if you are just starting out because it has one speed and works great for all skin types.
So how does it work? The brush head moves back and forth in swift, easy motions allowing water and product to get into the skin for a deep clean. My favorite part is after each use; I feel like I got a facial. My skin is smooth, radiant and overall feels healthier. It removes oil and debris that our skin is exposed to on a daily basis, all of which ages your skin and can cause breakouts.
How to Use Your Clarisonic: I wet my skin first and brush head with warm water and then apply my cleanser directly to the brush head. With really light circular motions, I start at the top of my face and work my way down to the chin area. Don’t feel the need to add pressure while cleansing as you want light sweeps across your face. After one minute the Clarisonic will shut off letting you know you have completed your cleanse. Super easy, right?
What Cleansers Can I Use With My Clarisonic? The refreshing gel cleanser is a gentle formula that helps with shine control and removes impurities. It is great for an everyday cleanser that is PH balanced, paraben-free, soap-free, and dermatologist tested. My personal favorite is the pore and blemish cleanser because I am acne prone, and tend to be more on the oily side. It contains 2% salicylic acid to help with breakouts, excess oils, pimples, blackheads and whiteheads.

Brush Heads: You have some options when it comes to choosing the right brush for your Clarisonic. The radiance brush head will come with your Mia that is designed for just about all skin types. If you tend to have larger pores, the deep pore brush is a great option. The bristles on this brush help to unclog pores, and remove oil and debris that cause pores to get clogged in the first place. My personal favorite is the acne brush because my skin is acne prone and this brush is designed to target those issues specifically.
Brush Head Care: It is recommended to replace your brush head every three months as bristles become worn down and become less effective. For weekly/daily care make sure you are removing your brush head and using soap and water to remove any debris collected on the brush.
