After my wedding in July 2018 and going off a water pill I began noticing some changes in my body, specifically my stomach area. It’s always been a stubborn area for me. It’s not that I felt horrible by any means, but I was just uncomfortable with myself and I didn’t feel well physically or mentally. As an influencer, I am regularly taking photos and doing try-on sessions. However, there were times that I wasn’t feeling confident in what I was wearing, and when I don’t feel well, it’s obvious. I finally decided that I had enough, I wanted to do something about it.
In March, I had my first round of Coolsculpting done, followed by a second round on my back. The experience was amazing. First, let me say Jenn from Columbus Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery is phenomenal. Not only is she an expert in her field, but she also teaches Cool Sculpting seminars across the country! I instantly felt safe in her hands and knew she was going to take great care of me. I also really love the offices at CAPS, especially the Easton location. It is super convenient to just about anyone in Columbus, and I love that it’s right in the midst of the hustle and bustle at Easton Town Center. I feel like I am in a luxury suite with some great views every time I go in. The staff is also incredibly kind, which is vital because it can be intimidating walking into a plastic surgeons office!
For my first round of Cool Sculpting, we did a couple of different areas; A few areas on my back and one big area on my abdomen. The procedure itself wasn’t what I expected at all. It was surprisingly very relaxing and not painful in the least. Once the suction hits your skin, it’s cold for a second, and then you feel nothing. Throughout my 2-2.5 hour procedure, I was able to get work done, read a book, and scroll through social media. Easy peasy! The other benefit of Cool Sculpting is there is no downtime which means you can head back to work the day of. I would wait to do any heavy workouts for the first few days just to let your body settle. Other than that there are no restrictions! You can simply put your clothes back on and head out the door.
In the days following the treatment, you might be a little sore. I experienced it more so in my abdomen than back, but I took a couple of Tylenol and all was good. I also didn’t bruise as much as I thought which was great! The one thing to remember about Cool Sculpting is just like with anything else; it takes time to see results. Personally, I started noticing less bloating within a week. A month later, I felt great and started paying more attention to my diet because I was loving the results. By month three, I was feeling the best I’d felt in a long time! I even managed to lose a little extra weight, but that was all due to clean eating to maintain the best results. I had my second round done on my back in June, and when we took those follow-up photos, I was shocked. See below for before/after.
I went on a couple of beach vacations and actually felt confident wearing a bathing suit. For the first time in a long time, I felt good taking photos and doing try-ons for the blog. Cool Sculpting is definitely an investment (just like a good handbag) but the results last! It was worth every penny not to have to go through surgery or interrupt my lifestyle.
