Bubbly & Brunch & A Bridal Shower

I am still over the moon about my bridal shower my mom and maid of honor put on for me a couple of weeks ago! It was so beautiful, and well thought out. From the decorations to the florals and cake….I was blown away. The most special part though was having both mine and my fiancé’s sides of the families there. It really made me feel special that everyone came, some even out of state to celebrate, and I am so grateful and appreciative!

The Perfect Pear Sisters created a stunning chocolate and vanilla cake dripping in gold with gorgeous flowers on top done by Rose Bredl. The sisters from Perfect Pear couldn’t have done a better job; I almost screamed when I saw it! Cake is my absolute favorite food, so I get pretty serious when it comes to the aesthetics and taste of a cake..ha! I can’t wait to share the wedding cake with all of you. It is my dream cake and will go perfectly with our theme. Regal, elegant, classy, dreamy.

I decided to stray away from your typical white dress for my shower and went with a two piece. I have to be honest, I have never shopped at White House Black Market but I went in there on a whim, and found the most beautiful, sweet and feminine two-piece. The satin floral skirt just reminded of a beautiful spring day and had an elegant bridal feel to it. I paired it with the Kendra Scott Dove Rose Gold earrings in Lilac Mother of Pearl. They are stunners! Remember, you don’t always have to follow traditions so if you feel like doing something different, go for it! It’s what sets you apart : )

My biggest advice for showers is doing something completely different, but that’s unique, and relatable to YOU. For the past several months I have been using Doterra essential oils, and I thought to myself, how awesome would it be to have an oil bar at the shower where everyone can make their own rollerball?! My great friend, and oil expert Jodi from Peppermint and Grapefruit came to my shower with great blends of oils. One was a restful blend “stay calm before the wedding,” and the other was an uplifting blend. All of my guests said this was something they hadn’t ever seen before at a shower, and that it was one of the coolest things they have done. We all know showers can become long with games, and gifts so this was something that was important for me to do for and with everyone at my shower.
