Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite Holiday’s for many reasons, and although it has already come and gone I am still sharing this years look because it is going to be a Spring/Summer staple in my wardrobe. This year I chose something a little different than usual, and love the many ways you can style this dress.
I have grown to love dresses with slits on the side because it gives your look a little more edge, while still staying on the conservative side. Yes, I am not one to show a lot of skin, and I am known for wearing oversized, baggy clothing. I just feel more comfortable that way and find it to be more my style; however, it is fun to try different looks and jump out of the box a little. This dress just stood out to me immediately. I love the color, which is a mix between red and burnt orange. There is a keyhole front detail that I decided to cover up with a belt but will be styling it without the belt during warmer months. I think the contrast with the belt is really sharp and stands out. To give this look a little romance, I wore a black lace bralette. If you don’t own one of these, you need to! They are super comfortable, and great to wear underneath even the most basic tee.
My style is an eclectic mix consisting of boho chic to luxury designer. I really love that this dress is a mix of both. It has that whimsical boho chic flow but could also be dressed up with stunning jewelry and killer heels with a fur. I got this dress back in January with the intent of keeping it as a transitional piece. I have worn it a couple times in chilly temps with a fur, and will certainly be wearing this with a great pair of open toe heels for spring and summer.
I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine’s Day!
